PINK & Pretty I Love You Card

Here is another I Love You design with lots of pink. The front has "I Love You" and the inside sentiment is "just being with you makes my heart HAPPY!"  I think it turned out pretty with the paper and embellishments added.

And the best part ~ the inside sentiment ....

I used the Imagine print and cut feature for this rose frame. Then I picked complementing paper and ribbon.

The tools used include:

EK Success Overton House Designs decorative paper, ribbon, adhesive pearls, My Creative Time stamp from the "Lots of Love" set, Ranger aquamarine archival ink, KaiserCraft Lagoon Weave paper, Worldwin cardstock, Cricut Lori's Garden cartridge, scoring board and adhesive.

Hope you like my Valentine's  Day  and love themed creations so far. I would love your comments and for you to follow this new crafty blog of mine.

Romantic I Love You Card

Valentine or not, I'm so happy with how this LOVE card turned out.  The sentiments, I adore!

And the inside ...

To start with, I incorporated the I love you die cut title with the "love" filling inside the stitched heart for the focal points.  Then, I separated each with panels and a big black tied ribbon.  The inside sentiment "I'd be lost without you!" goes great with this, I think.  I love how this looks bold and beautiful with the red, black, grey and white tones.

This is included in the "Heart" challenge #5 at the Additcted to CAS blog.  CAS is short for clean and simple.  I love this style.

Tools used include:
My Creative Time "Lots of Love" & "100% Sweetness" stamps and die sets, Ranger archival ink, ribbon, Cricut Artiste cartridge, KaiserCraft paper, EK success crinkle paper, Bazzill Fig Swirl cardstock, adhesive and Pop Dots.

That's all for today. Hope you'll comment and/or follow my new crafty blog.  Have a great day!

Crazy About You

Clean and simple { CAS } is what the goal was for this card design.  It has a heart theme with sentiments that go perfectly together.  This is part of my Valentine creations, but fits any love theme.

And the inside ...

The front sentiment is "Crazy about you!" and the inside has "How did I get so lucky to end up with someone like you?" This turquoise panel is from a scalloped card image that was cut in half.  I added the heart diecut leftover piece to the inside.  I also used some leftover hearts from cupcake wrapper cuts.  The colors are turquoise, peach, white and black.

I am including this at My Creative Time for their most recent Valentine release project link up party.

Tools used include:

My Creative Time "Lots of Love" stamp set, Ranger archival coffee ink, EK Success Art Blanché ribbon, punches, KaiserCraft Burnt Orange Weave paper, Cricut Artiste & Cupcake Wrappers cartridges, Pop Dots & Bazzill cardstock Navajo.

Lots Of Love Wood Grain

This is a love themed card or un-Valentine design.  It is fitting for any love theme, I think, and for a guy or gal.  I went with a rustic country feel here.

And the inside ....

The front sentiment is "Lots of Love" and the inside has "Always & Forever".  At first I thought of inking the embossing folder for the wood grain, on lighter paper.  Instead, I chose embossing on brown.  Used a diecut panel with double hearts that had a primitive feel, added twine, tag, rhinestones and a button.

Tools used include:

My Creative Time "Lots of Love" set, Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge, Cuttlebug, Ranger Tim Holtz Alterations Wood Grain embossing folder, Coffee archival ink, BasicGrey button, twine, distress ink in Frayed Burlap.

Thank You Card for MCT "1,2,3 Challenge"

Once I noticed that there was a new challenge on the My Creative Time blog, I could not wait to make something.  This is my first time posting in a MCT challenge.  I love working with her stamps and dies and I can't seem to get enough of the amazing sentiments and accents she creates.  Here is my Thank You card design for Liz's challenge: Use 1 bow, 2 patterned papers and 3 buttons.

And the inside:

The look I wanted was casual and warm.  I chose this ribbon to complement the garden branches in the decorative paper background, which had a similar design.  The chevron is from the same paper pad with notes of the top pattern in it.  The tag is from solid Kraft paper and stamped with MCT background stamp to soften the look. Was very happy to get the layered dies and put them to good use.

The tools used include:

From My Creative Time:
Floral Sentiments
So Grateful For You
XL Label Die
Stitched XL Label Die
Script Type Backgrounds

Also, ribbon, BasicGrey paper & buttons, Ranger Archival ink Distress Ink Pad in Frayed Burlap, Ink Blending Tool and cording.

Many thanks to Emma and her talented DT for the opportunity to participate.  Please post your comment and follow  my new crafty blog while you're here.  Have a great day.

Valentine Treat Favor

This is a treat wrap made for the Jaded Blossom "Anything But A Card" challenge. It was fun to make and play with different colors in the process.

This is the first candy holder of this type I have made.  For Valentine's Day, I made up some for my nieces and nephews with pops and then made some with wrapped Hershey Kisses.  Since I have a collection of these little circle stamps from the Jaded Blossom Candies line, I picked a few that would suit each recipient.

The fabulous tools used include:
From Jaded Blossom:
Valentine Treats stamps
Pattern Kisses stamp
Valentine Candies stamps
Flag Dies

2013 Inspirational Desk Calendar

For ringing in the new year, I've created an inspirational desk calendar using some of my favorite products.  I really love how it turned out.  This has six double sided page tiles that feature months from January through December of 2013.  Two of the things I love are seasonal holidays and inspirational sentiments.  So, I incorporated both into these pages.  I kept it small, 5" x 4.5", and added 1" binder rings from Office Depot.  This allowed it to become self standing.

Here are the individual calendar pages.

There is much detail in this hand crafted treasure.  The tools used include:

From Unity Stamp  Company:
Welcome To My Life
Thoughts of the Heart

From My Creative Time:
XL Label Die
Inspiring Words and Inspiring Words (Accents)
Just Simply Live
Turn That Frown Upside Down
Bloom Where You Are Planted
Teeny Tags
Floral Sentiments
All Around Everything Accessories

From Jaded Blossom:
Halloween Treats
Winter Candies
Thanksgiving Kisses

There would be too many pictures to display each page.  The detail would show up much better with closeups.  Perhaps I will revisit some of these tiles later in separate posts as the holidays near.

I welcome your comments and would love for you to follow my new crafty blog.  Happy New Year to you and yours!
